Responsibilities
- Perform routine pool maintenance including cleaning, skimming, vacuuming, and brushing pool surfaces to maintain cleanliness and appearance.
- Monitor and adjust pool chemistry by balancing pH levels, alkalinity, chlorine, and other water treatment chemicals to ensure safe and healthy swimming conditions.
- Troubleshoot and repair pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters, valves, and timers using hand tools and power tools.
- Maintain and repair plumbing systems associated with pools to prevent leaks or malfunctions.
- Operate company vehicles safely while transporting equipment, chemicals, or supplies to various homes.
- Handle chemical agents responsibly by following safety protocols for storage, mixing, and application in accordance with industry standards.
- Conduct inspections of pool systems to identify issues early and perform preventative maintenance to extend equipment lifespan.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding service needs or safety concerns while delivering excellent customer service.
- Document all work performed accurately in service logs and reports for record keeping and compliance purposes.
Experience (non required but is a plus)
- Proven experience as a pool service technician or in a similar aquatic facility maintenance role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to pool plumbing systems, pumps, filters, heaters, and related equipment.
- Hands-on experience with water treatment chemical handling and pool chemistry balancing.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting pool equipment issues using hand tools and power tools.
- Outdoor work experience in various weather conditions is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to operate a company vehicle safely.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to chemical handling and equipment repair is essential.
