Durango School District 9-R is hiring a Boys' Basketball Specialist at Miller Middle School. This coaching position involves instructing middle school students (grades 7 and 8) in the fundamental skills, strategies, and physical training of basketball. We are a member of the San Juan Basin Middle School League; The season runs October 2025 - December 2025.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of effective coaching practices/techniques of basketball
- Ability to build rapport with middle school students
- Ability to build individual and team character and confidence
- Ability to relate to students of varying athletic abilities
- Ability to conduct oneself in an ethical and exemplary manner at all times
- Ability to work positively with coaches, staff, and administration
- Ability to communicate effectively with student athletes and parents
