Summary: The Production Material Handler primary responsibilities include transporting materials to support production, keeping inventory levels accurate, and supporting the distribution order process.
Shift Available:
1st Shift Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm; overtime as required.
Starting Pay: $18.75/hour
Essential Functions: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty listed below satisfactorily & safely.
- Transport materials by forklift, pallet Jack, hand, or cart as required to support material flow.
- Transporting material from the department staging area to the proper put-away locations.
- Organize Materials to support the manufacturing floor while assuring inventory accuracy.
- Complete receipts to Manufacturing Orders & complete Manufacturing Order paperwork in order to ensure inventory and production completion accuracy.
- Use mobility device to complete inventory move transactions and complete required paperwork to ensure accurate inventory.
- Support the Distribution Order (DO) Process to ensure finished goods are transferred from MFG to DC timely and accurately.
- Perform 6S activities in order to keep work area and department clean and organized.
- Perform re-work and re-boxing of damaged and defective items as needed.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s): The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
- Knowledge:
- Three to five years of related experience and/ or training, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- This position requires forklift certification through Miller Manufacturing.
- On the job training may be required.
- Skills:
- Language: Communicate effectively with co-workers and management.
- Mathematics: A qualified candidate must possess the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Candidate must also possess the ability to apply abstract concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Abilities:
- Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but non-engaging, written and oral instructions.
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Apply good judgment in recognizing scope of authority.
- Use of depth perception, close vision, and color vision are all continuously required.

Lifting Requirements: Frequently 1-50lbs, rarely 51-75lbs.
Movement Requirements: Continuously talking or hearing, reaching upward or outward, bending the neck side-to-side or front-to-back, grasping/turning the wrist. Frequently standing, walking, sitting, climb/balance, pinching/finger manipulation. Occasionally feeling, kneeling/crouch/squat, typing.
