Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Set-Up Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate should have experience with CNC Lathe Set-Up and operation with blueprint reading skills. This role involves setting up CNC Lathes with Fanuc controls to machine precision parts of all sizes and material types.
Responsibilities
- Setup and Operate CNC lathes and other related equipment to produce high-quality components.
- Machine parts to blueprint specifications using a supplied program and setup sheets.
- Conduct regular inspections of finished products to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
- Utilize hand tools and measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Troubleshoot machine issues and perform routine maintenance as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CNC lathe Set-Up Machinist with a strong understanding of mechanical principles.
- Knowledge of G and M codes.
- Experience with entering workshifts, setting up and touching off tooling.
- Experience with lean manufacturing practices is a plus.
- Ability to machine parts according to technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
