Position: Financial Advisor / Client Relationship Manager
Miller Investment Management (MIM) is seeking an experienced, client-focused professional to provide comprehensive financial advice to our clients. Our clients vary in age, goals, and levels of wealth, and we offer them assistance to address a wide range of financial and estate planning needs.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in financial planning principles, with knowledge comparable to that covered in the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) curriculum.
Primary Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client relationships, overseeing the coordination of investments, financial planning, and administrative needs to deliver a seamless wealth management experience.
Develop and implement thoughtful, customized financial plans that reflect each client’s unique objectives, time horizon, and risk tolerance, ranging from focused investment strategies to comprehensive financial and estate planning.
Design and communicate tailored wealth planning strategies that address retirement, education, tax efficiency, and legacy considerations, ensuring alignment with clients’ long-term goals.
Manage and monitor client investment portfolios, conducting regular reviews and rebalancing to maintain appropriate diversification and consistency with each client’s objectives.
Collaborate closely with internal professionals across the Investment, Operations, and Client Services teams to ensure precise execution, accurate reporting, and an exceptional client experience.
Coordinate with clients’ external advisors, including attorneys and accountants, to promote integration and alignment across all aspects of their financial and estate plans.
Clearly articulate investment philosophy and market perspectives through regular communication, meetings, and client updates.
Attributes / Qualifications / Knowledge
7–10 years of experience in a client-facing role within wealth or investment management, serving high-net-worth individuals and families.
Professional credentials: Completion of the CFP® or CFA designation is strongly preferred; additional advanced designations or degrees such as CPA, JD, or ChFC are highly valued.
Series 65 license (or equivalent).
Comprehensive understanding of financial planning principles, including retirement planning, tax optimization, estate strategies and investment management.
Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple client relationships and priorities effectively.
Curious and analytical problem solver with a demonstrated ability to think critically and creatively on behalf of clients.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building rapport and earning trust with sophisticated clients in a collaborative, team-based environment.
A proactive, collegial approach to working with colleagues and professional partners, including those located remotely.
