Accounts Payable Clerk

Position Summary

Miller Insulation is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team of employee owners. This position is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounts payable process and helping ensure company invoices, payments, and financial records are processed accurately and timely.

The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable working with numbers, able to manage multiple priorities, and committed to accuracy. This position works closely with vendors, employees, and other departments and requires strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Review, code, and enter vendor invoices accurately and timely.
• Verify invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
• Match invoices with purchase orders, receipts, or other supporting documentation when applicable.
• Prepare and process vendor payments in accordance with company procedures.
• Maintain accurate accounts payable records and supporting documentation.
• Review vendor statements and research discrepancies or missing invoices.
• Respond to vendor questions regarding invoices and payment status.
• Assist with reconciling vendor accounts.
• Maintain vendor information and documentation.
• Assist with month-end accounts payable activities and provide information needed for the accounting close.
• Communicate with branch locations and other departments to resolve invoice or coding questions.
• Maintain organized electronic and/or paper accounting records.
• Provide administrative and accounting support to the Accounting Department as needed.
• Provide backup support for other office functions when necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
