Job Description / Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel Service Technician to join our service team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining compact diesel equipment to ensure our customers’ machines operate safely, efficiently, and reliably.

As a Diesel Service Technician, you’ll work hands-on with a variety of company equipment, performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, and completing repairs both in the shop and in the field. You’ll collaborate closely with our service manager and other service technicians to deliver high-quality workmanship while upholding Miller Implement’s long-standing reputation for trust, quality, and excellence.

This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys problem solving, values providing dependable service to customers who rely on their equipment every day, and a strong work ethic.

Job Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose problem(s) and determine what repairs are required
• Repair, service, recondition, or assemble equipment
• Communicate with customers in a positive and professional manner
• Conduct work in a safe manner and follow company safety guidelines
• Hauling and cleaning of equipment
• Facility maintenance
• General shop cleaning

Schedule

• Day shift (8:30am-5pm), Weekends if needed (very rare)
• Monday to Friday
• Work Location: On the road (at times) and In person at N7375 Mosher Drive, Fond du Lac, WI 54937
• Work Remotely: No

Qualifications

• Diesel Technician/Mechanic experience preferred, but not required
• Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods
• Ability to follow written work instructions and manuals
• Must be able to work independently at times
• Must be able to participate in required training and traveling (very rare)
