What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Care Child Care Worker - Miller Home for Girls position at Miller Home of Lynchburg?
Child Care Workers are professionals who work directly with the children in the care of Miller Home for Girls. This role includes cultivating a nurturing environment, planning activities, providing behavioral support, and teaching life skills.
Child Care Workers are daily employees and work 24 hour shifts (9pm-9pm) that include sleep time and a 2 hour break each day. Child Care Workers work approximately 15 days per month.
The Child Care Worker must demonstrate a high level of maturity and the ability to deal effectively with the social, psychological, behavioral, and emotional needs of children.
The Child Care Worker must be physically, mentally, and emotionally able to care for residents and demonstrate a loving desire to do what is best for the children entrusted to the Miller Home’s care.
The Child Care Worker must be able to respect and work cooperatively with a variety of persons including co-workers, volunteers, and parents of children residing in the Miller Home.
The Child Care Worker must exhibit a positive attitude and exhibit appropriate behavior and manners at all times as they are a role model for residents.
The Child Care Worker must demonstrate the ability to represent the Miller Home to the community in a positive and effective manner.

Pay: $135.00 - $140.00 per day
