What You’ll Do
- Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Assist with tax planning by identifying basic opportunities and researching tax issues.
- Interpret financial statements to understand tax implications.
- Reconcile book‑to‑tax differences and assist with year‑end workpapers.
- Help respond to tax notices and correspondence from tax authorities.
- Communicate with clients via phone, video, and email to provide information and request documentation.
- Collaborate with accounting and assurance teams to align work and support shared clients.
- Support internal initiatives and contribute to process improvements as the firm grows.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- CPA or CPA‑track preferred.
- 1–2 years of public accounting experience with a focus on tax.
- Working understanding of GAAP and basic tax concepts.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data.
- Proficiency in accounting software and tax preparation platforms.
- Excellent communication skills and a client‑first mindset.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote or hybrid environment.
