- The RN is responsible for providing comprehensive care to mothers and newborns throughout the entire childbirth process, from labor and delivery to immediate recovery and postpartum care.
- Key responsibilities include monitoring maternal and fetal well-being, administering medications, coaching patients through labor, assisting during delivery, and educating families on infant care. Needs to be comfortable in the OR setting and act as baby RN.
- Burdett follows an LDRP model level 1 with special care nursery. St. Peter’s Hospital aligns as a level 3.
