Job Responsibilities
- Research, design, develop, manufacture, and test circuit designs on soft substrate devices.
- Data acquisition, signal processing, and programming (e.g., MATLAB, Python, C, LabView)
- Develop circuitry for piping measurements from sensors to data acquisition system
- Working knowledge of electronic circuit board manufacturing processes.
- Experience with troubleshooting and debugging prototype hardware / software
- Material preparation and characterization using flexible circuit type systems
- Electronic and PCB design.
- Ability to create/read: schematics, engineering drawings, technical procedures, instructions, reports, electrical requirements/specifications and other documents.
- Knowledge of microprocessors and micro controllers.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to use and operate electronics equipment, measuring instruments, laboratory equipment, basic shop equipment and tools.
- Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability.
- Team player and detail oriented.
- Displays attributes of a critical thinker and leverages innovative ideas.
- Instrumenting wearable device prototypes with embedded sensors and actuators
- CAD experience in designing and building wearable mechanical enclosures
- Electronics experience with PCB, flex circuits, e-textiles, with experience with silicon/microelectronics design engineering a plus
- Soft sensor and actuator experience
- Experience in interfacing with custom data acquisition systems
- Data acquisition, signal processing, and programming (e.g. C, C , MATLAB, Python, LabView)
- Experience with troubleshooting and debugging prototype hardware / software
- Experience running human subject testing with prototypes, desired
- Generating experiment protocols and reports
- BS, MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, with experience
