Millennium Corporation is hiring a Red Team Operations Network Engineer to work in Baltimore, MD. ALL candidates MUST have an active secret clearance with TS/SCI eligibility to qualify for consideration.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and sustain a secure, scalable cyber range network supporting Red Team operations, adversary emulation, penetration testing, malware analysis, cyber research, and operator training.
- Architect and deploy isolated Layer 2/Layer 3 network infrastructure, including routing, switching, VLANs, segmentation, IP addressing, and high-performance network services.
- Install, configure, and integrate enterprise networking, compute, virtualization, and storage platforms into a mission-ready cyber range environment.
- Implement secure network segmentation, firewalls, access controls, and management boundaries to protect operational environments and ensure isolation from external networks.
- Configure and optimize virtualized infrastructure, storage connectivity, and shared services to support resource-intensive cyber operations and concurrent training environments.
- Perform infrastructure integration, validation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization to ensure high availability, resiliency, interoperability, and operational readiness.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive network diagrams, architecture documentation, configuration baselines, installation procedures, and operational support documentation.
- Conduct infrastructure testing and acceptance activities, verifying compliance with technical, security, and government requirements while resolving identified deficiencies.
- Collaborate with system administrators, cybersecurity engineers, software developers, cyber operators, and government stakeholders to enhance cyber range capabilities and support mission objectives.
- Provide technical leadership by recommending infrastructure improvements, supporting future expansion and capacity planning, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring delivery of a maintainable, mission-ready cyber range.
Qualifications
- ALL candidates MUST have an active secret clearance with TS/SCI eligibility to qualify for consideration.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- 8 years designing enterprise network infrastructure.
- Experience designing isolated laboratory or cyber range environments.
- Strong Layer 2/Layer 3 networking experience.
- Experience with Cisco enterprise switching.
- Experience implementing VLANs, STP, LACP, routing, and ACLs.
- Experience configuring enterprise firewalls.
- Experience deploying fiber infrastructure.
- Experience integrating enterprise storage.
- Experience with virtualization networking.
- Experience producing technical documentation.
Desired:
- Experience with VMware, Proxmox, Hyper-V, or KVM.
- Experience with pfSense or OPNsense.
- Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Windows Server, and Linux.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, Git, Python, or PowerShell.
- Experience with DISA STIGs, RMF, and NIST 800-53.
- Experience supporting Red Team infrastructure, adversary emulation, malware analysis, or MITRE ATT&CK.
