Data Science Product Manager - Equities Technology

Position Overview

We are seeking a Product Manager to work closely with the Head of Data Science as well as the Product Lead for PM Tools & AI to drive the strategic development and implementation of data science initiatives within our equity PM tools and AI platform. This role sits at the intersection of data science, portfolio management, and product development, requiring technical and data science expertise as well as financial acumen to transform complex datasets into actionable investment insights.

The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing and integrating data science offerings within our broader portfolio management and AI tools ecosystem, managing the full data science pipeline – from acquisition and deployment through ongoing support. This position requires deep understanding of fundamental investing processes and the ability to translate complex data science concepts into practical investment applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between the data science team and portfolio management teams to understand data requirements and translate investment hypotheses into data science projects.
• Design and oversee the integration of data science offerings with existing portfolio management and AI investment tools.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive PM-facing documentation for all data science offerings and tools, including data dictionaries, methodologies, and use cases.
• Conduct end-user trainings, roundtables, and subject specific teach-ins to help collect feedback and inform pipeline.
• Conduct deep discovery to understand industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging data science techniques and technologies relevant to equity investing.
  
  

Qualifications

• 3 years working with data science offerings in investment contexts.
• 2 years of product management experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical and data science concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex investment challenges into actionable solutions.
• Experience or interest in scaling data science across enterprise PM and AI tools.
  
  

The estimated base salary range for this position is $150,000 to $200,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future. Millennium pays a total compensation package which includes a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. When finalizing an offer, we take into consideration an individual’s experience level and the qualifications they bring to the role to formulate a competitive total compensation package.
