What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dispatcher/Customer Service position at Millennium Transportation & Logistics, LLC?
Responsibilities include:
Answering phones
Develop professional and mutually rewarding relationships with salespeople, customers, and carriers
Initiating outbound calls to proactively look for loads, contact current and prospective customers, and Contact current and prospective carriers
Developing rate quotes based on pertinent information
Negotiate rates with customers and carriers
Identify, assess, and resolve problems while controlling emotions and composure
Communicate effectively and professionally with customers, carriers, and coworkers both verbally and in writing
Capture information about carrier companies accurately and fully
Follow up on loads to make sure carrier is secured and load is properly scheduled and delivered
Use multiple computer programs
Receive and resolve customer complaints
Requirements include:
High school diploma or GED required
Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative approaches, solutions, or conclusions to problems
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing at a professional level with customers, carriers, and coworkers
Must be able to learn and master proprietary software
Must be able to apply knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service including need assessment, meeting quality standards of service, and evaluating customer satisfaction
Must be able to perform computer work for extended periods of time
