Job Title: Carpenter / Remodeling Technician
Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable, skilled employee to perform hands-on carpentry, remodeling, and repair work. The ideal candidate has experience installing doors, laying flooring, hanging and finishing drywall, painting, and installing trim. This position requires attention to detail, quality workmanship, and the ability to work independently or alongside a team.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and replace interior and exterior doors, including frames, jambs, locks, and hardware.
- Install flooring such as luxury vinyl plank, laminate, and hardwood, including preparing subfloors and installing transitions.
- Hang, repair, tape, mud, sand, and texture drywall.
- Prepare surfaces for painting by patching, sanding, and caulking.
- Paint walls, ceilings, doors, trim, and other surfaces with clean, consistent results.
- Measure, cut, and install baseboards, door and window casing, crown molding, and other finish trim.
- Perform general carpentry, minor framing, and remodeling repairs as needed.
- Safely operate hand tools and power tools.
- Protect customers’ property and maintain a clean, organized jobsite.
- Communicate job progress, material needs, and any issues to the project manager.
- Complete assigned work efficiently while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Skills and Qualifications
- Previous hands-on experience in carpentry, remodeling, or residential repairs.
- Ability to perform door installation, flooring, drywall, painting, and trim work with minimal supervision.
- Strong measuring, cutting, layout, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of common construction materials, tools, and installation methods.
- Attention to detail, especially with finish work.
- Dependability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or with a team.
- Ability to lift and carry materials, use ladders, and perform the physical tasks required for the job.
- Reliable transportation to jobsites.
