PIT Compliance Specialist

We're looking for a PIT Compliance Specialist to join our team in Durham, NC. What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain PIT safety programs, policies, procedures, and compliance initiatives
- Partner with operational leaders to create, administer, and improve PIT training and certification programs
- Conduct routine audits and observations of PIT operations to ensure compliance with company standards and safety regulations
- Identify unsafe conditions, behaviors, and operational risks and implement corrective actions
- Issue, track, and maintain PIT certifications, licenses, and expiration records
- Investigate PIT-related incidents and near misses and support root cause analysis and corrective action plans
- Facilitate safety meetings, workshops, and training sessions focused on PIT operations and warehouse safety
- Analyze operational and compliance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with warehouse, fulfillment, and operations teams to improve safety performance and operational effectiveness
- Support continuous improvement projects and warehouse safety initiatives
- Bachelor's degree in safety, Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Logistics, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered
- 2 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, safety compliance, continuous improvement, or a related field
- Experience supporting PIT operations, training programs, or safety initiatives preferred
- Experience working within an ISO-certified environment preferred
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, fulfillment, and logistics processes
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Smartsheet, and Management Information Systems (MIS)
- Experience with reporting and business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau preferred
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment
