The Folder Gluer Operator is responsible for setting up and operating folder gluing equipment to produce high-quality packaging products that meet customer specifications and production goals. This role requires strong technical expertise, troubleshooting capabilities, and a commitment to quality, safety, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate has experience operating Bobst folder gluing equipment and enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

🔹 Summary
The Folder Gluer Operator is responsible for setting up and operating folder gluing equipment to produce high-quality packaging products that meet customer specifications and production goals. This role requires strong technical expertise, troubleshooting capabilities, and a commitment to quality, safety, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate has experience operating Bobst folder gluing equipment and enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
🔹 What You'll Do
- Set up and operate Bobst Folder Gluer equipment.
- Review job tickets and production specifications before each production run.
- Produce straight-line cartons, auto-bottom cartons, four-corner displays, sleeves, and other specialty products.
- Monitor quality throughout production to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
- Inspect products and maintain production samples.
- Troubleshoot equipment and make operational adjustments as needed.
- Perform preventative maintenance and maintain equipment performance.
- Maintain production documentation and records.
- Coordinate workflow with production team members and temporary operators.
- Communicate machine status and production updates during shift handoffs.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate material needs.
- Follow all company safety, quality, security, and operating procedures.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 4 years of Folder Gluer operating experience.
- Experience operating Bobst equipment preferred.
- Packaging, converting, folding carton, or print manufacturing experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of folder gluing processes and carton construction.
- Experience with glue systems including hot melt, cold glue, and fugitive glue.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with production systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining production standards.
