- Provide CMA/MA clinical support to Primary Care providers
- Conduct comprehensive patient intakes, including vitals, medical histories, and medication reviews
- Assist with exams, minor procedures, wound care, and diagnostic testing
- Perform EKGs, immunizations, specimen collection, and point‑of‑care testing
- Prepare, label, and process lab samples accurately
- Maintain infection control, safety standards, and equipment readiness
- Support patient triage, care coordination, and transitions of care
- Provide patient education on medications, treatment plans, and preventive care
- Document accurately in the EHR (Epic, Athena, Cerner, or similar)
- Schedule appointments, referrals, authorizations, and follow‑up care
- Verify insurance and assist with prior authorizations and billing workflows
- Monitor inventory and prepare exam rooms
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and safety drills
- Deliver excellent guest service to patients and internal team members
- Uphold HIPAA, OSHA, and all compliance standards
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of experience in a physician office, clinic, or hospital setting (required)
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Current CMA/RMA/MA certification (AAMA, AMT, NHA, or equivalent)
- Current BLS certification
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
- Strong multitasking ability and comfort in a fast‑paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and strong work ethic
- Experience with EHR systems
- Competency in EKGs, phlebotomy, and assisting with minor procedures (preferred)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Commitment to patient‑centered care and continuous learning
