How Will You Make An Impact & Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Complete patient intakes, vital signs, and medical history updates.
- Assist providers with exams, minor procedures, wound care, and diagnostic tests.
- Perform EKGs, immunizations, and specimen collection.
- Process lab samples and point‑of‑care tests.
- Maintain infection control, safety standards, and equipment readiness.
- Support triage, care coordination, and patient education.
- Document accurately in the EHR.
- Schedule appointments, manage referrals, and track test results.
- Verify insurance and assist with authorizations and billing tasks.
- Prepare exam rooms and monitor supply inventory.
- Participate in quality improvement activities.
- Provide compassionate, culturally sensitive patient care.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification required.
- Graduate of an accredited MA program.
- BLS certification required.
- Clinical experience preferred but not required.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Basic computer and EHR skills.
- Knowledge of vital signs, EKGs, infection control, and medical terminology.
- Strong communication, customer service, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to multitask and maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs independently and up to 50 lbs with assistance.
- Frequent hand and wrist movements; prolonged computer use.
- Visual acuity required for documentation and computer work.
