As a Room Attendant, you will be crucial in maintaining the cleanliness and overall presentation of our guest rooms and common areas at our esteemed hotel.

Your role involves meticulously cleaning and preparing guest rooms, ensuring that they meet our high standards of comfort and cleanliness. You will take pride in creating a pleasant environment for our guests, reflecting the quality and luxury our brand is known for.

As a vital member of our housekeeping team, you will also assist in maintaining the hotel’s public areas and collaborate closely with your colleagues to ensure that every guest receives the highest level of service. Your attention to detail and dedicated work ethic will help promote a satisfying and memorable stay for our guests.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Clean and prepare guest rooms in accordance with the hotel's guidelines, including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing bathrooms and guest amenities.
  • Change bed linens, replenish towels, and restock guest supplies as necessary.
  • Report any maintenance issues, damages, or missing items in guest rooms to management immediately.
  • Ensure that all cleaning supplies and equipment are maintained and used effectively.
  • Assist in the cleaning of public areas, including lobbies, hallways, and restrooms.
  • Uphold the hotel’s policies and procedures regarding safety and security.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain a harmonious work environment.
  • Respond to guest requests and issues promptly and courteously.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the housekeeping supervisor.

About us:

The historic Millennium Biltmore Hotel has been a legendary Los Angeles landmark since 1923. With exquisite Spanish-Italian Renaissance architecture, including stunning hand-painted ceilings, its rich history is most noted for its connection with the Oscars - the founding banquet for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences was held in the Crystal Ballroom in 1927, where the original "Oscar" statuette was sketched on a Biltmore napkin, and eight Academy Awards banquets were held in the Biltmore Bowl during the '30s and '40s. This iconic hotel has also been and continues to be featured on many Hollywood films, TV shows and music videos. The hotel has 70,000 square feet of flexible function space and 683 modern guest rooms in including 60 suites. Conveniently located in the heart of the Financial District, in a vibrant part of downtown Los Angeles, and only steps from Angel’s Flight, a unique funicular railway experience providing a great view of the area, as well as other noteworthy landmarks including the Brockman Building, Ernst and Young Plaza, the Fine Arts Building and Los Angeles Public Library.

The hourly rate for this position is $25.74 per hour.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role in the hospitality industry is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet set cleanliness standards.
  • Good physical stamina to perform repetitive cleaning tasks, including lifting and standing for prolonged periods.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic with a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible schedule, including availability on weekends and holidays.
