Your role
The Banquet Bartender (on-call) is responsible for providing exceptional beverage service during banquets, weddings, meetings, conferences, and special events. This position prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, maintains bar presentation and inventory, ensures compliance with alcohol service laws, and delivers outstanding guest service to create a memorable event experience.

Technical Job Responsibilities
- Set up, stock, and maintain banquet bars according to event requirements and service standards.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently.
- Verify guest age and identification in accordance with applicable alcohol service laws and company policies.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of beverage menus, cocktails, wine, beer, and specialty drink offerings.
- Provide prompt, courteous, and professional service to all guests.
- Monitor guest consumption and practice responsible alcohol service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar areas throughout events.
- Accurately handle cash, credit card transactions, drink tickets, and room charges as applicable.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs to supervisors.
- Assist with event setup and breakdown, including moving bar equipment, supplies, and inventory.
- Ensure proper storage and security of liquor, beer, wine, and bar supplies.
- Comply with all food safety, sanitation, health, and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with banquet servers, culinary staff, and management to ensure successful event execution.
- Attend pre-event meetings and review banquet event orders (BEOs) to understand event requirements.
- Maintain a professional appearance and represent the hotel's service standards at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support banquet operations
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous bartending experience required; hotel, banquet, or event experience preferred.
- Knowledge of standard drink recipes, wine service, and beverage presentation.
- Strong guest service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain required alcohol service certifications and food handler permits, as applicable by state and local regulations.
