Duties
- Lead daily stock room operations, including stocking shelves, packing products, and organizing inventory storage areas to maximize space utilization.
- Oversee shipping and receiving activities, ensuring timely load and unload of merchandise while maintaining safety protocols.
- Utilize dollies, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely for heavy lifting and moving large quantities of stock.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies, perform cycle counts, and reconcile stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the stock room by implementing routine cleaning schedules and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Support merchandising efforts by organizing products for display, packaging items for shipment, and assisting with retail sales when needed.
- Collaborate with team members across departments such as customer service, retail sales, and logistics to ensure smooth operations.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to facilitate efficient operations.
- Ensure all safety regulations are followed during heavy lifting, equipment operation, and daily activities to maintain a safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse management or retail stock control with familiarity in inventory management systems.
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail; capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience operating dollies, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly while adhering to safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills; are a plus for effective team collaboration.
- Knowledge of retail math principles related to stock levels, pricing accuracy, and sales support.
- Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures including load & unload operations.
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace through routine cleaning and maintenance tasks.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service when interacting with team members or vendors.
