What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing-Field Technician position at MILLENNIUM CONTROL SYSTEMS LLC?
Position Overview:
The Manufacturing-Field Technician is responsible for supporting the production, testing, and installation of electrical control panels and related equipment. This hands-on role involves panel assembly, wiring, labeling, basic testing, and documentation support. The technician will also assist with logistics, including shipping, receiving, and off-site coordination with manufacturing partners. This position plays a key role in ensuring that products meet quality standards and are delivered on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Panel build (mounting and wiring)
- Assist with shipping and receiving
- Print wire tags, terminal board tags, and panel tags, as required
- Off-site manufacturing interface to verify progress, enforce standards, transport parts and prints
- Basic test and inspection of manufactured equipment (on-site and off-site)
- Cable assembly (solder and crimp connectors)
- Collect and prepare documentation for instruction books
- Field installation, panel modifications/repairs
- Find ways to contribute to help the Company achieve short and long-term goals
What we need you to have:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
- Basic understanding of electricity
- Experience Soldering and Crimping
- Operation of basic hand tools
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office and Outlook)
What we’d love you to have:
- Two (2) years of professional electrical panel building experience
- Overhead crane and lift-truck license
Additional Information:
- Travel Requirements – 5 - 10% travel
