As our Category Manager, you'll drive strategic growth through effective supplier relationship management, leveraging Millennium's purchasing power to maximize value for the company and its suppliers. This role requires a strong P&L mindset, using advanced analytics to gain insights into supplier performance and market opportunities. This role will negotiate skillfully, fostering win/win outcomes that enhance customer satisfaction, profitability, and growth. Key responsibilities include defining and executing strategies that optimize category management and continuously managing and nurturing supplier relationships to ensure long-term success for all parties.
What You'll Do
- Strategic Sourcing and managing supplier relationships
- Negotiating contracts, prices, and other aspects of purchasing relationships with suppliers
- Analyze purchasing, sales, and other relevant data and market insights to develop, execute, and monitor purchasing and supplier strategies
- Collaborate with suppliers and relevant stakeholders to resolve issues that may impact operations, customer experience, or supplier relationships
- Develop processes, metrics, and visibility tools to streamline category strategies.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in category management, merchandising, or a related role.
- Proven track record of success in sourcing, supplier relationship management, negotiation, data analysis, strategy development, and execution.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for strategy, negotiation, and reaching win/win outcomes
