Millennium Bank is currently seeking a Jr. Credit Analyst.
The Jr. Credit Analyst is responsible for monitoring and analyzing the performance of the commercial loan portfolio. The employee will use analysis, forecasting, and modeling concepts to anticipate, identify, and mitigate credit risk exposure. This employee is responsible for summarizing and reporting this information to a variety of senior management. This position will interact with many other departments in the interest of achieving the overall company objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Spreads financial statement, compares to industry standards.
- Analyzes corporate and personal financial statements and tax returns.
- Reviews credit bureau reports and Dun & Bradstreet reports.
- Identifies loan risks that may impact the ability to repay debt obligations and document findings in a written credit analysis memorandum.
- Prepares presentations for loan approval committees in a clear, concise, convincing, and actionable format.
- Oversees loan documentation process including preparation of loan documents using document software package.
- Reviews prepared loan documents.
- Tracks loan covenants.
- Tracks loan performance.
- Maintains and applies knowledge of bank lending data.
- Maintains credit files.
- Accompanies officers to client meetings as needed.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to apply financial and statistical principals.
- Excellent attention to detail, time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective communications in working with officers and senior management.
- Posses strong analytical, mathematical, and computer skills.
- Discretion and a dedication to protecting the financial privacy of clients, business partners, and the Bank.
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING:
- Undergraduate degree in finance or accounting preferred.
- Experience in financial analysis, data mining, statistics, forecasting, and loan portfolio analysis preferred.
- Display strong quantitative and analytical abilities.
- Basic understanding of accounting, statistics, and economics.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
