We are currently seeking a highly motivated full-time technical designer for denim & woven bottoms to join our growing company. The ideal candidate has a strong background in denim, excellent knowledge of garment construction and fit, and experience working directly with overseas factories from development through bulk production.

This is a hands-on position responsible for ensuring that garments meet our standards for fit, measurements, construction, quality, and consistency. We are looking for someone who is extremely detail-oriented and fit-driven. This role requires more than updating spec sheets. We need someone who understands how a garment should fit, can diagnose why it does not fit correctly, and can communicate the exact correction needed to the factory.

The right candidate will take ownership of technical execution from development through production and help establish consistent fit and quality standards as our company continues to expand into new brands and categories.

- Conduct fit sessions and evaluate garments for fit, balance, construction, and overall appearance.

- Create, maintain, and revise spec sheets, POMs, grading, and technical packages.

- Measure development, PP, TOP, and production samples accurately against approved specifications.

- Provide clear and detailed fit comments, including photos and diagrams when necessary.

- Work closely with Design, Production, and Product Development throughout the development and production process to execute tech packs based on sketches and/or samples.

- Communicate technical corrections clearly to overseas factories and ensure comments are properly executed.

- Review and approve PP and TOP samples with design & production team prior to bulk production/shipment.

- Identify construction, workmanship, wash, measurement, and fit issues before they reach production.

- Identify potential production, quality & cost issues - making appropriate recommendations while maintaining design and fit intent. Influence changes as needed to help ensure product fit and delivery goals can be successfully achieved in bulk production.

- Establish and maintain consistent fit standards and blocks across multiple brands and size ranges.

- Review factory patterns and understand how pattern adjustments affect garment fit.

- Ensure bulk production is consistent with approved samples and company quality standards.

- Maintain organized technical records, fit history, and approved specifications.

- Self-manages workload based on calendar due dates and production deadlines. Knows how to prioritize with a sense of urgency.

MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

- 5 years of Technical Design experience in denim bottoms.

- Strong experience in other sportswear categories is a plus.

- Excellent understanding of garment construction, patternmaking, grading, and fit.

- Strong knowledge of denim construction, washes, shrinkage, and how wash processes can affect garment measurements and fit.

- Ability to accurately measure garments and dress forms using established POM standards.

- Experience working with overseas factories is strongly preferred.

- Ability to write clear, precise technical comments that factories can execute without ambiguity.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies between approved samples and production.

- Proficiency in Excel and Adobe Illustrator

- Must be highly organized and comfortable managing multiple styles simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
