Position Overview
The Painter is responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appearance of the hotel's interior and exterior surfaces by performing painting, finishing, and coating tasks. The role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Clean and prepare surfaces for painting, including patching holes, sanding, and priming.
- Apply paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray guns.
- Mix and match paints to achieve desired colors and finishes.
- Conduct regular inspections of painted surfaces to identify and correct flaws or damage.
- Perform touch-up painting and minor repairs to maintain a fresh appearance.
- Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations related to painting and hazardous materials.
- Coordinate with other departments to schedule painting activities and minimize disruption to guests.
- Report to supervisors on job progress, completion times, and material usage.
- Maintain an inventory of paints, supplies, and equipment.
- Request orders for materials as needed to ensure sufficient stock.

Required Education, Experience and Skills
- At least 1 years of related experience required.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently (and in a team).
- Proficient in various painting techniques and tools
- Strong attention to detail and quality control

- Work is performed indoors and outdoors in a commercial setting with regular exposure to cold, heat, noise, people, and equipment.
- Able to work independently or as a team member and support managers with special projects.

Expected Hours of Work & Travel
