Night Auditor

Position Overview

 Night Auditor is responsible for addressing guest concerns and inquiries during non-peak hours, also assisting with late check ins and early check outs, ensuring a smooth process.  

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Organize, confirm and process guest check-ins/ check-outs and adapt for any changes.
• Secure payment, verifying and adjusting billing as needed.
• Provide guests with room and hotel information, directions, amenities and local interests.
• Run daily reports, reviewing to see what needs to be communicated to the next shift’s staff.
• Complete cashier and closing reports, counting the bank at the end of each shift securely.
• Accept and record wake-up calls, delivering to the right department.
• Communicate any emergency, lost item or theft to proper security staff and/or authorities.
• Keep contingency lists in case of emergency and communicate any necessary messages.

Required Education and Experience

• At least 2 years of related experience required.  
• Excellent written and oral communication skills. 
• Ability to work independently (and in a team).

Work Conditions & Physical Demands

• Work is performed indoors and outdoors in a commercial setting with regular exposure to cold, heat, noise, people, and equipment.
• Able to work independently or as a team member and support managers with special projects.
• Strong collaboration skills – works well across functional areas—excellent relationship-building skills; able to collaborate with various levels of the organization.

The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 80 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Expected Hours of Work & Travel

Must be able to work various shifts when needed to cover during regular business hours, including weekends and evenings.
