What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dishwasher (Part Time) position at Millennia Housing Management?
SUMMARY: Washes, cleans and sanitizes dishware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans and work surfaces, etc. Also removes garbage from operational areas as necessary, keeps floors in a grease and debris free state at all times as well as participating in general property sanitation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Operates dish machine and three compartment sink in a correct manner.
- Ensures correct wash and rinse cycle temperatures are achieved.
- Drains and cleans (including screens) dish machine on approved schedule or when needed.
- Refills dish machine with clean water before cleaning glassware.
- Pre-cleans all dishware that goes into the dish machine.
- Ensures cleaned plates are dry and free from standing water.
- Cleans, sanitizes and wipes down dish table.
- Removes and properly stores garbage.
- Maintains floor to remove standing water, debris and grease.
- Continually maintains cleanliness and equipment maintenance to include deep cleaning when necessary.
- Participates in Walk-in/Reach-in sanitation.
- Keeps kitchen organized and ensures that all equipment, products and materials are properly stored.
- Follows and is knowledgeable of chemical requirements and maintains chemical amounts as posted on Ecolob chart.
- Disposes chemicals in accordance to Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) requirements.
- Ensures kitchen and Health Department sanitation requirements are maintained at all times.
- Assists in the prep area during down time.
- Properly cleans and shuts down dish station at end of shift.
- Performs all duties in adherence to all company standards and policy.
- Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule and late hours when necessary.
- Must have the ability to report to work on time and on a regular basis.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Some high-volume dishwashing experience preferred.
Serve Safe Certification
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and speak fluently, in the primary language of the property location.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in units of measure, using whole numbers.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense, define problems, collect data and notify management when necessary. Ability to successfully re-prioritize tasks in a moment’s notice.
