Summary
Under the direction of the Manager, the RN provides patient care in compliance with the State Nurse Practice Act, hospital policies, and regulatory standards. Uses the nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation) to deliver direct and indirect care that meets both physical and psychosocial needs. Demonstrates professionalism, initiative, flexibility, and teamwork.
Job Duties

- Collaborates with departments/facilities on admissions and patient care needs. *
- Communicates changes in patient condition to physicians promptly*
- Maintains positive, collaborative relationships across departments. *
- Verifies and interprets physician orders, including those from outside facilities.*
- Demonstrates competency in procedures, treatments, and medication administration. *
- Operates equipment safely and correctly. *
- Administers medications and IV fluids accurately, including chemotherapy medications. *
- Performs and reassesses head-to-toe patient assessments. *
- Develops and evaluates individualized care plans. *
- Will Participates in cross-training to same day surgery.
- Provides patient and family education based on identified needs. *
- Recognizes and responds to changes in patient condition and abnormal lab values.*
- Assists with cardiac stress testing as required if cross training has been completed. *
- Communicates clearly to ensure coordinated, interdisciplinary care.*
- Completes documentation accurately and within shift. *
- Collaborates with Infusion Services scheduler to maintain schedule.*
- Participates in quality improvement projects as assigned.

Required Education and Experience
- Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program
- Current MN RN license (unencumbered).
- Minimum 3 years of clinical RN Experience.
- Experience with central lines (PICC, Port-a-Cath).
- BLS, ACLS certifications required.
- Completion of ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Course (if not in possession, will obtain within 6 months of hire).
- Basic Knowledge of hazardous drug handling requirements (OSHA/NIOSH/ON).
- Annual continuing Chemotherapy competency validation following ONS standards
Preferred Education and Experience
- BSN
- Wound care and wound vac system experience preferred.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
- 8-hour shifts Monday-Friday, per service line schedule. Will be scheduled for Infusion or Same day surgery once cross-training has been completed as needed for the department.
Salary : $40 - $65
