- Provides customer service to members of the public, land owners, contractors, other county departments, townships, cities, other counties, state and federal agencies, banks, abstractors, attorneys, etc. Assists customers with questions pertaining to services and activities, and resolves routine complaints.
- Prepares and processes a variety of applications, forms, permits and other documents in accordance with applicable statutes, rules, ordinances, guidelines, and confidentiality requirements. Assembles and prepares information for land splits and combinations. Performs the collection, accounting for, and distribution of fees for applications, permits, etc.
- Records documents, in accordance with state statutes and local policies. Scans documents into scanning system, ensuring quality and completeness. Verifies recorded documents for data input accuracy.
- Performs a variety of general office and clerical accounting duties including but not limited to: typing, data entry, scanning and filing office correspondence; preparing office mailings; ordering office supplies, and processing invoices, expense forms, claim forms and vouchers; and preparing public notices and minutes related to various boards and committees.
- Maintains current knowledge of all applicable current laws, regulations, policies, work cycles and forms. Works with department staff and provides input on interpretation of policies and their implementation in the department.
