Job Title: Gallery Manager

Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized, creative, and dynamic Gallery Manager to oversee daily operations, manage artist relationships, and deliver engaging exhibitions and events. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in both creative and administrative environments, with a passion for contemporary art and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work directly with artists to coordinate scheduling, contracts, exhibitions, and special events.
- Oversee the gallery’s social media presence (Instagram, Facebook) and manage website content to promote exhibitions and programs.
- Lead the installation and de-installation of all artwork, ensuring proper handling and presentation.
- Plan, host, and execute gallery events including artist receptions, food and art pairing dinners, classes, and other social gatherings.
- Manage and maintain accurate artwork inventory records.
- Oversee and execute all sales transactions, ensuring excellent client service.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in gallery management, arts administration, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with confidence in working directly with artists, clients, and event partners.
- Proficiency with social media platforms and website content management.
- Ability to handle artwork safely and manage exhibition installations.
- A passion for the arts and commitment to fostering a welcoming gallery environment.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
Job Type: Part-time
Projected Total Compensation: $13.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
