What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sewer Maintenance Laborer position at Millcreek Township?
Millcreek Township is currently accepting applications for a full-time Laborer in our Sewer Maintenance Department.
We are seeking a skilled and dependable individual to assist in the inspection, maintenance, and repair of the Township’s sanitary sewer systems. Responsibilities include:
- Installing and maintaining sanitary sewer lines
- Maintaining and servicing pump stations
- Responding to and resolving emergency sewer back-ups
- Operating various departmental equipment
Requirements:
- Valid Pennsylvania CDL with airbrake and tanker endorsements
- Knowledge of basic plumbing, grinder pumps, and electrical controls
- Ability to perform heavy physical labor, including lifting/moving up to 100 lbs
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications:
- DEP Wastewater Operator Certification
- Experience using lateral or mainline sewer cameras
This position requires 24-hour emergency availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as the ability to work overtime when needed.
