Position Overview
The HOA Inspector plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity, safety, and aesthetic standards of communities governed by a Homeowners Association. This position ensures compliance with HOA rules, regulations, and architectural guidelines. The inspector serves as the eyes and ears of the HOA board, helping preserve property values and community harmony.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct routine inspections of common areas, amenities, and individual properties to ensure compliance with HOA covenants, conditions, and restrictions (CC&Rs).
Document violations, maintenance issues, and safety hazards with detailed reports and photographs.
Issues violation notices.
Collaborate with property management staff and HOA board members to address compliance concerns.
Monitor landscaping, exterior maintenance, signage, and architectural modifications for adherence to community standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong ability to learn and apply HOA rules, regulations, and CCCRs effectively.
Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.
Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
Proficiency with inspection software and mobile apps.
Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and reliable transportation.
Personal cell phone required; employee must consent to location tracking (e.g., via AirTag or similar device) while on duty.
Working Conditions
Primarily field-based with regular walking, driving, and outdoor inspections.
Moderate physical activity, including standing and walking.
