Overview
Millard Manufacturing is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our team. In this role, you will fabricate raw materials to precise specifications for both internal assembly operations and direct-to-customer shipment. The Machine Operator will set up and operate a variety of machine tools, including but not limited to power band saws, powered shears, powered rollers, press brakes, water jet, laser cutter, punch press and other fabrication equipment.
Job Duties
- Set up and operate production/fabrication equipment, powered and hand tools
- Operate heavy machinery, including forklifts and overhead cranes (training provided)
- Perform light maintenance on machines
- Perform de-burring operations after cutting
- Mark parts for identification and ensure conformance to specifications
- Read and interpret bills of materials
- Use tape measures and other measuring devices accurately
- Enter detailed data into shop floor computer terminals
- Maintain clean and organized production areas
- Stand and walk throughout the workday
- Lift up to and occasionally exceeding 100 pounds
Qualifications
- Prefer high school graduate or GED with at least 6 months similar job experience
- Valid driver's license required (for transporting materials via company truck)
- Prior knowledge of metal materials (shapes, sizes, types) helpful but not required
- Mechanical aptitude a plus

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
