MIll Valley Kitchen in St. Louis Park is looking for skilled and enthusiastic Servers to join our dynamic team.
!!MUST BE ABLE TO WORK SOME LUNCHES/DINNERS AND EITHER SAT OR SUN BRUNCH!!
The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting cocktails, serving beverages, and ensuring that guests have an enjoyable experience while adhering to food safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons, taking orders, and responding to inquiries.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and cash handling.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service practices.
- Assist in managing inventory by tracking stock levels and placing orders as needed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food service during busy periods, including banquets and catering events.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and giving change.
Skills
- Proficiency in using POS systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS) for efficient order management.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent sales skills with the ability to upsell menu items effectively.
- Prior fine dining experience is preferred, along with knowledge of food handling practices.
- Experience in the nightclub or bar setting is a plus, particularly in high-volume environments.
- Familiarity with basic math for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
- Knowledge of brewing techniques and cocktail preparation methods is advantageous.
