Summary:
The primary purpose of this position is to supervise the day-to-day activities of nursing assistants and staff nurses to ensure delivering the appropriate level of care needed. Supervision must be in accordance w/ federal, state and local laws, and the policies and procedures of the facility. Rate depending on experience.
Responsibilities
Direct nursing assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations, & guidelines governing long-term care.
Ensure that the residents receive care in a manner and in an environment that maintains or enhances their quality of life without abridging the safety and rights of other residents.
Meet with your assigned nursing staff, as well as support personnel, in planning the shifts' services, programs, and activities.
Ensure that all nursing service personnel comply with the procedures set forth in the Nursing Policies & Procedures.
Cooperate with other resident services to ensure that the resident's total regimen of care is maintained.
Assist in planning the nursing services portion of the resident's discharge plan as necessary.
Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required.
