What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Development and Investor Relations Associate position at Mill Hill Capital, LLC?
Mill Hill Capital is a Registered Investment Adviser located in New York, specializing in credit-focused hedge fund strategies. Mill Hill’s core expertise is in U.S. CLOs, corporate debt in the financials and transportation sectors, asset-backed securities, non-agency mortgage-backed securities, and credit indices. We are currently seeking a motivated junior professional to support and accelerate our investor relations and business development efforts.
The IR & Business Development Associate will work closely with the CEO and COO to deepen relationships with existing investors and support the firm's capital-raising activities. The successful candidate will develop an in-depth understanding of our credit strategies and serve as a key point of contact for our LP base.
Key responsibilities include:
· Serve as a primary point of contact for existing LPs, managing day-to-day inquiries, capital account questions, and information requests.
· Coordinate and help prepare monthly quarterly investor letters, performance reports, and capital account statements.
· Work in tandem with COO on Business Development: new strategies, new Funds, new Separate Managed Accounts, as well as co-investment opportunities with select LPs
· Work with Investment team on select research & data analysis
· Maintain and update the CRM system with investor activity, meeting notes, and pipeline data.
· Assist in the organization and execution of investor calls, annual meetings, and advisory board sessions.
· Respond to investor DDQs, RFPs, and ad hoc information requests in a timely and accurate manner.
· Prepare fund marketing decks and strategy-specific tearsheets.
· Support the preparation and review of offering documents, subscription materials, and onboarding documentation.
· Support the Investment Team on investment strategy
Qualifications:
· The ideal candidate will be proactive, motivated, and detail oriented with strong communication skills and a interest in being part of a close team.
· Direct exposure to credit strategies is preferred, but not required.
· 2-5 years of relevant experience - Asset manager/credit fund/bank for example
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· High proficiency Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word
· Bachelor's degree required; Finance, Economics, or a related field preferred.
The expected annual base salary for this position is $100,000- $125,000. Our overall compensation package also includes variable compensation in the form of a year-end bonus, along with healthcare insurance benefits. Role requires employee to be in office 4 days a week.
