The Showroom Sales Specialist – Millwork is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience while driving sales of millwork products, including doors, windows, mouldings, hardware, stair parts, and related specialty items. This role serves as a trusted advisor to homeowners, builders, contractors, architects, and designers by providing product expertise, design guidance, and accurate quoting from initial consultation through order completion.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Experience
- Greet and assist showroom customers, identifying needs and recommending appropriate millwork solutions.
- Build strong relationships with homeowners, contractors, builders, and design professionals.
- Actively promote millwork products, hardware, upgrades, and complementary items to maximize project value
- Follow up on quotes, leads, and open orders to drive closure and customer satisfaction
Product Expertise
- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of millwork products, hardware, vendors, specifications, and applications
- Explain product features, benefits, lead times, installation considerations, and maintenance requirements
- Stay current on industry trends, new products, and manufacturer updates
Quoting & Order Management
- Prepare accurate quotes, take-offs, and special orders for millwork products and hardware.
- Ensure pricing, measurements, specifications, and lead times are correct prior to order placement.
- Coordinate with vendors, internal teams, and customers to manage orders through delivery.
- Resolve order discrepancies, backorders, and customer concerns in a timely manner.
Showroom Presentation.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and visually appealing millwork showroom
- Assist with merchandising, displays, and sample updates
- Represent the Mill Creek brand with professionalism and attention to detail
Qualifications
Required
- 2 years of sales experience, preferably in building materials, millwork, lumber, or home improvement
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to read plans, understand measurements, and manage detailed specifications
- Proficiency with basic computer systems, POS, and quoting software
- Availability to work occasional Saturday hours.
Preferred
- Direct experience selling millwork products (doors, windows, trim, cabinetry components, etc.)
- Knowledge of residential and light commercial construction processes
- Experience working with contractors, builders, and design professionals

Salary : $18 - $20
