Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Sprinkler Fitter/Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fire sprinkler systems across various construction sites and facilities. Your expertise will ensure that fire protection systems are installed according to safety standards, blueprints, and industry codes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing your technical skills and mechanical knowledge to deliver reliable fire suppression solutions that protect lives and property.

*IMPORTANT TO NOTE - 4 years experience as a fire sprinkler fitter/technician MANDATORY. Stringent background check performed if hired, prior to stepping foot on a job site, NO exceptions. Need not apply if you cannot satisfy the two requirements above, you will not be considered for the position.*

Duties

  • Read and interpret fire sprinkler blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to sprinkler systems and piping layouts.
  • Install, assemble, and test fire sprinkler systems following industry standards such as ASME codes & standards.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and pipe threading tools to assemble piping networks.
  • Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on existing sprinkler systems to ensure optimal operation.
  • Measure materials accurately; perform basic math calculations for pipe cutting and fitting.
  • Rigging and lifting heavy components safely on construction sites while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Follow schematics and technical instructions to assemble piping systems for pipelines, plumbing, or HVAC applications.
  • Solder pipes or fittings as needed; bend tubes using specialized equipment for precise fitting in confined spaces.
  • Maintain detailed records of installation progress, inspections, repairs, and compliance documentation in accordance with safety standards.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of fire sprinkler fitting procedures and plumbing principles.
  • Ability to read sprinkler blueprints, schematics, HVAC diagrams, and technical drawings accurately.
  • Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of pipe threading, tube bending, soldering, and assembly processes.
  • Experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety protocols and rigging operations.
  • Familiarity with codes & standards for piping and pressure systems; knowledge of pipeline installation is a plus.
  • Skilled in using tools such as calipers, pipe cutters, wrenches, scissor lifts; adept at operating power tools safely.
  • Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to pipe lengths or system specifications.
  • Knowledge of maintenance procedures for fire suppression systems; troubleshooting system issues effectively.
  • Understanding of schematics for sprinkler systems or manufacturing environments; experience with construction or industrial projects is REQUIRED.
