The IT Support Coordinator serves as a primary point of contact for IT support requests and is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware, software, and classroom technology issues. Support is delivered through in-person assistance, phone, email, and ticketing systems, with a strong emphasis on customer service and user satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide front-line technical support for laptops, desktops, tablets, peripherals, and mobile devices.
- Troubleshoot and support classroom and A/V technology, including projectors, Apple TVs, interactive displays (e.g., Clevertouch), and conferencing systems.
- Deliver one-on-one and small-group technology training for faculty, staff, and students as needed.
- Coordinate and track support requests, ensuring timely resolution and appropriate escalation of complex issues.
- Assist with device setup, deployment, inventory management, and documentation of IT assets.
- Create and maintain basic support documentation and contribute to the continuous improvement of IT support knowledge base articles.
- Collaborate with senior IT staff on larger projects, upgrades, and campus technology initiatives.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of experience providing end-user technical support in a school, nonprofit, or professional environment.
- Strong working knowledge of macOS, Windows, iOS, Adobe, ChatGPT, Blackbaud, Google, and common productivity platforms.
- Experience supporting classroom technology and A/V systems preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working with students, faculty, and staff in an educational setting.
