The ROLE:
This position will be responsible for creating and maintaining sales forecasts for MMU’s Key Retail Accounts. This individual supports management by analyzing business trends and identifying opportunities to drive retail & net sales to achieve plan, in collaboration with SVP of Planning & Analytics to assess Merchandise Sales & Demand and optimize inventory levels required to hit company-wide sales targets. This role works directly with the NA Retail Team, and several cross-functional partners to plan and maintain growth on our Key Retail Accounts.
What YOU’ll do:
North America Key Retailer account planning management
- Ownership of Existing NA Retailer account Budgeting at the topline channel-level for retail, shipments & returns, collaborating with NA Retail on weekly & monthly plans which tie back to Global MMU sales targets & strategy
- Full ownership of relationship with NA retailers as Planning’s main point of contact, overseeing weekly calls and managing regular communication, including OOS/In-stock communication, launch forecast recommendations, warehouse closure/transition planning, etc
- Cross-functional partnership with NA Sales teams, and other key stakeholders (VM, Marketing, etc) to ensure all accounts are tracking to Plan from a sales, inventory and assortment planning perspective
- Act as a retailer replenishment auditor, validating replenishment orders and ensuring appropriate inventory levels are held at the SKU/retailer level
- Launch order validation for new products to ensure proper inventory levels are held to support various launch activations, etc
In-season Planning, Forecasting & Inventory management – NA Key Accounts
- Forecast sales and inventory on a regular basis for NA Retailers, reconciling Retail sales & Shipment actuals vs FC with Logistics and Finance teams, and aligning with Leadership/Sales on revised FC and strategy
- Partner with NA Sales & Finance teams on all revenue transactions, validating forecasts and invoices, to ensure accurate execution for shipments and returns, impacting Global net revenue
- Validate Retail orders and shipments with Finance and Logistics teams weekly, tracking variance to monthly plan
- Collaborate with Logistics team on all outgoing shipments to align on timing and validate Fulfillment
- Collaborate with NA Field Sales & Education teams to build store-level targets for over 2000 stores across US & Canada which match back to topline sales goals
- Build SKU-level forecasts to inform Global MMU margin forecasts, and tie back to topline sales targets each quarter
- Collaborate with SVP of Planning & Director of Demand Planning on sku-level demand forecasts which inform Global MMU Supply needs
Reporting Analysis; Data Integration & Internal Attribute Report Management
- Oversee and review weekly, monthly and annual sales reporting and ad-hoc analysis for Key NA accounts to help identify sales trends and inform future merchandise and financial plans
- Help NA Retail teams when needed, validating internal assortment documents which incorporate relevant information for all cross-functional teams (pricing, ship & launch dates, etc)
Planning & Analytics Team Development
- Train, develop and manage new hires within Planning team, offering consistent and timely feedback, as well as guidance/visibility to Key Account Planning processes which impact various areas of the department
- Integrate SKU Demand Planning System and oversee functionality & data integrity, ensuring accurate output and maximizing system utilization
We’d like YOU to have:
- 5-7 years of relevant retail/wholesale planning and forecasting experience
- Advanced Excel Skills (able to build and run ad-hoc reports as needed, plus formula auditing with large amounts of data)
- Acute attention to detail, verbal and written communication, organization, & multi-tasking abilities
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; strong aptitude with numbers and retail math
- Experience with SAP, Oracle Fusion Demand Planning, Looker, and/or Microsoft Power BI is a plus
- Detail-oriented, self-starter, ambitious, and agility to work in a fast-paced, fun, engaging, and dynamic team environment
