Job Title: Director of Sales & Events

Position Summary:
The Director of Sales & Events is responsible for leading the resort’s sales strategy and event operations, driving revenue growth while delivering exceptional guest and group experiences. This role oversees group sales, corporate retreats, weddings, and special events, ensuring seamless execution from initial inquiry through post-event follow-up. The Director will play a key role in positioning the ranch resort as a premier destination for both leisure and group business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets across group, corporate, and social segments
- Lead all event sales and planning efforts, including weddings, retreats, meetings, and special events
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and contracting to execution and follow-up
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and key accounts
- Collaborate with Marketing to develop promotional campaigns, packages, and brand positioning
- Partner with Operations, Food & Beverage, and Activities teams to ensure seamless event execution and guest satisfaction
- Oversee event planning processes, timelines, and on-site coordination
- Monitor market trends, competitive set, and demand patterns to inform strategy
- Prepare and manage sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports
- Lead, mentor, and develop the sales and events team, fostering a high-performance culture
- Ensure all contracts, proposals, and communications reflect brand standards and accuracy
- Represent the resort at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities
Qualifications:
- 5–8 years of progressive experience in hospitality sales and event management, preferably in a resort or luxury setting
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities
- Experience with CRM systems and sales reporting tools
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple high-level projects simultaneously
- Financial acumen, including budgeting and forecasting experience
- Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed for events
