Overview
Military & Health Research Foundation (MHRF) is seeking a skilled and motivated Physical Therapy Assistant to join a dedicated team of healthcare professionals providing high-quality rehabilitative care to our nation’s service members and their families. This position supports the mission at the 23rd Medical Group, Moody AFB, GA contributing to the health and readiness of the military community. This is NOT a remote position
Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities
The ideal candidate should be a skilled and motivated Physical Therapy Assistant with a strong foundation in therapeutic techniques and a passion for helping others recover and regain function. They are experienced in administering a wide range of treatments under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist and thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. They bring professionalism, strong communication skills, and a patient-centered approach to care. While experience with or exposure to military or high-performance populations is a plus, it is not required. Most importantly, the candidate should be committed to supporting the unique needs of the military community.
Minimum Requirements
· Degree: Associate degree
· Education: Graduate from a college or university accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
· Experience: One year of experience within the last two years as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
· License: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a physical therapy assistant or possess current certification as a physical therapy assistant/technician as determined by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
· Must have American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) or American Red Cross CPR/BLS Heart Saver
Years of Professional Experience:
· 1 year in the last 2 years
Professional Certifications:
· APTA or Active unrestricted license
