Position Summary
The Activities Assistant supports the Activities Director in planning, organizing, and implementing engaging recreational programs for our residents. This role plays a vital part in enhancing residents’ quality of life by promoting social interaction, creativity, and overall well-being.
Responsibilities
Assist in planning and conducting daily group and one-on-one activities
Encourage resident participation and engagement
Set up and clean up activity areas and materials
Transport residents to and from activities as needed
Document resident participation and progress
Support special events, holiday celebrations, and community outings
Maintain a positive and respectful environment for residents and staff
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous experience in long-term care, senior living, or recreation preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Compassionate, patient, and dependable
Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or holidays
Ability to push, pull, and assist residents as needed
