Blaire House of Milford Home Care is seeking an energetic Home Health Aide to uphold our high standards for home care!

• Job Summary:

  • The primary function of the Personal Care Aide is to assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living. The Personal Care Aide works as a member of a team of professional personnel in the provision of nursing and other therapeutic services to patients in their homes. All Personal Care Aides have been trained in methods to assist patients to achieve maximum self reliance, principles of nutrition, meal preparation, problems of illness, procedures for maintaining a clean, healthy, safe and pleasant environment. All aides are familiar with the policies and procedures of the agency including confidentiality and record keeping. All Personal Care Aides must meet the Annual Federal/State twelve (12) hour in-service requirement to maintain certification.

  • The Primary function of the Homemaker is assist with light housekeeping, shopping, laundry, principles of nutrition and meal preparation.

Qualifications:

• Must have one or more years experience in caring for adults, can be in a home setting or facility as a certified nurse's aide or home health aide or personally caring for a family member.

Education:

• High school education or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.
• Successful completion of the required training program or its equivalent for Certified Home Health Aide as recommended by the State of Massachusetts.
