Responsibilities
- Respond swiftly to emergency calls, providing immediate medical care and stabilization at the scene.
- Assess patient conditions accurately using medical terminology and behavioral interventions to determine appropriate treatment.
- Administer basic life support (BLS), advanced life support (ALS), CPR, wound care, and other advanced interventions as needed.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) efficiently to document patient assessments, treatments, and vital signs accurately.
- Communicate clearly with patients and families, offering reassurance and education about their condition and treatment options.
- Prepare detailed reports on incidents, treatments administered, and patient outcomes for legal and medical review purposes.
- Maintain all emergency response equipment, ensuring readiness for any situation involving hyperbaric medicine or other specialized treatments.
Qualifications
- Valid Paramedic certification with the State of Ohio
- Proven experience working with culturally diverse communities to deliver respectful and effective patient care.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and clinical procedures relevant to emergency medicine.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) management systems for accurate documentation.
- Excellent client communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally.
- Ability to work under pressure in high-stakes environments while maintaining attention to detail and safety standards.
