Milford Animal Hospital is a high-quality, privately owned, four-doctor veterinary hospital seeking a compassionate, motivated, and team-oriented Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team!
We are a well-established small animal practice that prides itself on providing exceptional patient care and outstanding client service in a positive, supportive work environment. We are looking for a dependable individual with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping both pets and their people.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting veterinarians and technicians with patient care and treatments
- Providing in-patient and out-patient nursing care
- Collecting and processing laboratory samples
- Filling and dispensing medications
- Educating clients on home care and treatment plans
- Maintaining accurate medical records
- Communicating effectively with clients and team members
- Cleaning and maintaining hospital facilities and equipment
- Assisting with administrative and reception duties as needed
- Delivering exceptional customer service with compassion and professionalism
Qualifications:
- Previous veterinary experience preferred but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Dependable, punctual, and a true team player
- Ability to lift and restrain animals safely
