Milestones Early Learning is now hiring Classroom Support Teachers for our GSRP classrooms at various locations across West Michigan.
These positions are ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children and is interested in building a career in early childhood education while learning alongside experienced GSRP teachers. The Classroom Support Teacher works alongside GSRP Teachers to support children's emotional, social, physical, and cognitive needs. You will gain valuable classroom experience, develop teaching skills, and receive mentorship as you work toward future early childhood credentials. This role is a great opportunity to build relationships with children, gain hands-on classroom experience — no prior degree or CDA is required.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Must be 18 years of age or older.
· Experience working with young children in a professional setting is preferred.
· A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn.
· Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
· Dependable, organized, and committed to providing high-quality care for children.
· Must be available from 10:30am – 6:30pm, Monday – Friday.
Required:
* Fingerprints from State of Michigan
* CPR/First Aid Certified
* Complete all required trainings as outlined by MiLEAP
Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to the following):
Responsibilities
· Build warm, responsive relationships with children that promote confidence and independence.
· Support children during daily routines, transitions, meals, rest time, outdoor play, and classroom activities.
· Assist lead and assistant teachers in implementing developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
· Prepare classroom materials and learning centers for daily activities.
· Help maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming classroom environment.
· Lead small-group activities with guidance and support from experienced teachers.
· Communicate with families during afternoon pick-up, sharing highlights from the child's day.
· Work collaboratively with the classroom team to ensure a positive learning environment.
· Maintain confidentiality and follow all licensing and program policies.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
