TITLE: Delivery Driver – Hourly/Nonexempt, Ottumwa, IA

REPORTS TO: Area Program Coordinator

PURPOSE OF POSITION: The main function of the Meal Delivery Driver is to assist in the delivery of Milestones meals.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:

1. Deliver meals to home delivered participants within designated area, if applicable.

2. Deliver meals to satellite sites, if applicable.

3. Accurately complete reports and documents and submit in a timely manner.

4. Collect contributions, if applicable, in delivery area as directed by supervisor.

5. Be alert to clients in extreme need and report to supervisor.

6. Distribute Nutrition Education and other materials as assigned.

7. Collect and transport dirty trays and pans to kitchen from homes and sites as applicable.

8. Clean coolers and carriers as requested.

9. Assist with kitchen cleanup as scheduled.

10. Willing to take turns adjusting shift to deliver special meals if assigned.

11. Help promote all Milestones Nutrition Center programs.

12. Attend employee meeting and other trainings as assigned by Milestones.

13. Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS AND/OR ABILITIES FOR POSITION:

One-year driving experience.

Must be able to work well with others.

Should have a desire to service the elderly.

Ability to maintain confidentiality of participants.

Safe and sanitary work habits.

Must take pride in your work and have a positive attitude.

Must be able to lift 30 lbs. on your own and up to 50 lbs. with assistance.

Must have valid driver’s license and auto insurance, as well as access to reliable transportation and ability to travel as job requires.

SCHEDULE:

Part-Time: Monday – Thursday, 8:00am – 1:00pm (20 hours/week)

SALARY:

Range: $10.14 – $14.77 per hour
